There are no firm plans or time lines yet, but it will evolve.
This is not about sailing lessons or technical boat stuff.
It is about our life on board, what we do, what we experience and the fun that we have on the water and ashore.
You can watch not only the great moments but the obstacles which come up and the comedy and frustrations of getting things wrong.

Sirius Sailing is a showcase of sailing adventures on our beautiful Jeanneau 50ft Deck Saloon yacht. Stuart and Helen are fun, energetic sailing enthusiasts, with thousands of miles of nautical experience, whilst being fully qualified through the RYA. Our passion is exploring coastal areas and beauty hot spots. Along the way, whilst adopting sailing techniques to optimise performance from the yacht, we enjoy sightseeing, observing the marine wildlife, and fishing for dinner and when possible, sunbathing on deck! When we reach our destination for the night we always celebrate our successful passage with the odd G&T! We love cooking and eating on board, exploring in the Highfield Dinghy and meeting people and sharing our experiences. The inspiration for the YouTube Channel is so that we can share all of these adventures with a wider audience, offer entertainment, information and inspiration to others through our travels.

The Beginning
Stuart and Helen were experienced sailors looking for their next boat and set of adventures.
One dark cold winters night after tennis in the local Wetherspoons, Helen announced “Ere, why don’t we just sail over to the Caribbean, what the worst thing that could happen?”
“Well you could die”
“But I could die in here.”
This was the turning point, the lightbulb moment.
A few days later, a superb blue water cruiser flashed up for sale – Sirius.
The deal was done and Sirius Sailing was launched.

The Plan - Not all those who Wander are Lost
We have spent much of our professional life conforming to Plans; project plans, business plans, action plans.
This journey is not like that....when you are presented with a fork in the road and need to decide which route to take, you normally take the option of the route with the most predicable outcome, the safest most comfortable route.
You make the decision based on your previous experiences.
That is the conundrum, you do not really know which route is the best because the decision will be based on new experiences.
The Characters and Cast
Helen is the star of the show, she has a unique ability to ad lib, she can talk for England and brings an hilarious natural comedy.
The Sailing world has many wonderful, interesting and colourful characters. We will introduce you to these people as we meander along our journey and get them to share their stories and experiences.
Skipper The Sailing Labrador
And there is of course Skipper the Sailing Dog. He is the darling of every Yacht Club we go to. Skipper can Sail very well but finds gripping the ropes a bit difficult with out a prehensile thumb.
